In this episode I will be looking at (and also talking about) the Apollo game Infiltrate, which is kind of like a dumbed down Elevator Action for our Atari 2600. I don't have an exact date for the next game yet, but it will be tron Deadly Discs by M Network and will come out in January. If you have any Christmas memories that you would like to submit to the 6th annual Christmas show, please send them to me by the end of the day on December 16th. Also, I will be announcing a date and time for when Sarah and I will do a livestream of all the games I covered this year. If you are feeling charitable, please consider donating to my or my friends' Extra Life campaign. You can donate until the end of the year, every little bit will help kids who are sick. Please check the links below to donate. Thank you all so much for listening!

Thank you to everyone for your patience waiting for this Stargunner episode. Of course, the research was all done the week before the episode was due out, then I got sick that weekend. So the lesson here is that procrastination is good. I have a lot of the research done for Infiltrate, so that will be out the week after Thanksgiving, and that will be the last game of the year. So if you have feedback for Infiltrate, please send it to 2600gamebygame@gmail.com by end of day November 25th.

I would like to thank everyone who donated to my Extra Life campaign as well as those of you who watched the live streams that I did. I raised $1500 for the Children's Hospital of Philadephia thanks to all of you. I got an email from Extra Life saying that I was in the top 30 earners for the hospital, which is great! I plan on doing it again next year, but I will be doing the two days in one weekend. I had fun playing the games, but I got a little frustrated towards the end of the second weekend. Sinistar is an extremely difficult game but I love it so much, for some reason.

Thank you all so much for watching, listening, and donating. I hope that all my American friends have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Today I'll be covering Atari's Kangaroo, a 1983 arcade port. It has a kangaroo in it, in case you were wondering. Two, actually. I hope you enjoy the episode. Coming up next is Stargunner by Telesys, a pretty rare game. If you have a great many thoughts on this game, please send them to me by end of day 4 November, and I will include it in the show. Please make sure you put your name in the file if you send an audio submission! Also, please consider donating to me or any of my friends that you see here who are doing Extra Life marathons (half marathons in my case), starting on November 3rd. After a short delay, I am back with Crypts of Chaos by 20th Century Fox. A fine dungeon crawler if I do say so (and I do), a genre that is underrepresented on the Atari 2600. Coming up next is the arcade port Kangaroo by Atari. If you have feedback for this game, please send it to me by end of day October 18th, and the show will be out on the 21st. So he says.

I am playing for Extra Life again this year, but I am going to split it between November 3rd and 10th. I am old and I can't stay up that long anymore, it's really the thought that counts. I will be playing once again for the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Please donate at the link below, thank you for your support! And I thank you as always for listening.

The Summer of Tanks officially closes with this great audio submission from Bryce, the host of the Turbotastic Podcast! He took all of the tank games on the 2600 and ranked them. I did the same, and I also posted polls on social media, so you'll hear what you think too! Also, if you'd like to enter the contest to win 5 of the 2600 tank games, please send an email to 2600gamebygame@gmail.com by 10 PM EST on October 2nd. Please put Summer of Tanks contest in the subject line. If you've already won something from my show, please sit out this one if you could. Thank you all for listening!

Today for the first time I delve into what I originally thought was a PAL exclusive game, Bobby Is Going Home by Bit Corporation. Music and fun, what more could you want? Special thanks to Flanders 72, a punk band from Brazil. They are a great band that has a song called Bobby Is Going Home, which they let me use for the show. You can buy the track at their Bandcamp site, as well as all of their other music, so please support them! Next up will be Crypts of Chaos by 20th Century Fox. Please send your feedback to 2600gamebygame@gmail.com by the end of the day, 30 September. Thank you all so much for listening, and for your patience.

We bring the #SummerOfTanks to a close with the wonderful Front Line by Coleco, a run and tank game kinda similar to Commando (which will be an episode in 2045). I hope you enjoyed the #SummerOfTanks because that will be the last themed season that I do on this show. It just happened to work out that way. Next time I'm covering Bobby Is Going Home, a very special PALcast requested very gently by my friend Rama. Please send in your feedback no later than 6 pm EST on 11 September. Thank you for listening and enjoy the rest of your summer, of which we have three more weeks. No matter what schools and pumpkin spice lattes say.

It's been over a month, but I finally had a chance to sit down and talk about what I did at Too Many Games this year. I went for one of the three days, met some old and new friends, had a lot of fun, and yes, bought too many games. You may notice the extreme lack of tanks in this episode, I apologize for that. But as always, I do tank you for listening.

Hello everyone! Thank you for your patience, I hit a bit of a podcasting wall right before summer started, and now we have quite a few weeks of visiting with family, which has been great. The schedule for summer will be a bit up in the air, so please continue to bear with me, and I thank you. This episode is about Fireball by Arcadia/Starpath, a Breakout style game for the 2600. Sarah always tells me I sound tired when I record the podcast, and I can never hear it. It is very obvious in this episode however, and I do apologize for that. I really wanted to rerecord it, but that would have taken a few more weeks. I hope that you enjoy it regardless, there's lots of great feedback to listen to in the second half of the show at least.

The hardly promoted Summer of Tanks will happen, hopefully it will not become the Autumn of Tanks! The next game in the podcast will be Tanks But No Tanks by Zimag. You can start sending in feedback now if you'd like, I will announce the episode a week before it drops (fingers crossed) so you have enough time to get feedback in. Please send it to 2600gamebygame@gmail.com. Thank you so very much for listening, and enjoy your summer!

On today's episode we plumb the depths of the game Polaris by Tigervision, a port of the Taito arcade game. Will it be a great game, or will it be subpar? Yes, these are the quality jokes that you can expect from this show. Up next will be the homebrew game Climber 5 by Dennis Debro, with whom I will be talking for the episode. Thank you so much to Dennis for that! If you have any feedback on Climber 5, please send it to me at 2600gamebygame@gmail.com by end of day on May 27th. The night before that, Sarah and I will be at Crabtowne USA in Glen Burnie, MD. Lots of classic games there to play, so please come and say hello if you're in the area. Thanks so much for listening!

Better late than never when dealing with hungry crocodiles, right? This episode is about the Taito arcade game turned into an Atari 2600 cartridge, Jungle Hunt. Are you game for wild adventure? ARE YOU?? If you are, then I will need you to sign a few release forms. You know, in case of crocodiles.

Next up is Solar Storm by Imagic. Do you have some thoughts on this game? Would you like to send them to me? You can, just drop a line to 2600gamebygame@gmail.com by the end of the day on Monday April 30. I will play or read it on the show, and then you will be slightly internet famous. This week we're going deeper and deeper underground with scary alien monsters on our tail in Mines of Minos by Commavid! Can YOU make it to the alien command center and triumph? I can't.

Congratulations to Richard, he won the Strudders Score contest and will be receiving his copy of Mines of Minos just in time for Halloween, which is definitely scary. Thanks to all of you who entered the contest, and special thanks to Strudders for donating the prize.

Next up is the Atari arcade port of Jungle Hunt! Did you play this as a kid? Do you have a great Tarzan impression that you don't get to bust out often? Why not tell everyone by sending your thoughts and yells to 2600gamebygame@gmail.com. If you're sending an audio clip, PUT YOUR DAMN NAME IN THE SOUND FILE ALREADY. Or not, 6 files named junglehunt.mp3 is fine. NO REALLY, IT'S FINE.

Welcome to the exciting world of TEETH! This week I'm taking a look at Plaque Attack by Steve Cartwright and published by Activision. This is NOT the other Atari 2600 teeth game, so there. Next time I'm covering Mines of Minos by Commavid, and there will be another Strudders Score contest! If you'd like to win a copy of Mines of Minos courtesy of Rob, all you need to do is guess the combined score rating that Strudders and Mini Strudders will give the game WITHOUT GOING OVER. Keep in mind that the scoring is from 0-10, so don't guess over 20 you sillies! Please email your entries to 2600gamebygame@gmail.com. PLEASE put "Minos Contest" in the subject line, and if you have feedback for the game, please send a separate email. All entries and feedback should be in by April 3rd at 6:55 PM EST. I'll be in the lodge by the fire drinking coffee while you go out and attack the slopes, you Mogul Maniac! Maybe I'll stand on the Joyboard for awhile and pretend I'm out there with you. Naahhh, I don't want to spill my coffee.

Oh hi! I didn't see you come in, sorry. Won't you join me in discussing Mogul Maniac and the Joyboard controller by Amiga? Well, it will be more like a lecture, I don't like listening to other people talk, Shush! You can write to me instead if you'd like, I have another game coming up called Plaque Attack by Activision. If you have any thoughts on the game, please send them to me at 2600gamebygame@gmail.com. All the entries are read on the show, so it's kind of like you're talking, right? Please get your submissions in by March 20th or your teeth will rot. Who said contest? Shhhhhh. Thanks for listening!

In this episode I talk about Atari's unreleased prototype of Tempest, which is also their arcade game that I love so very much. The next episode will hopefully get me back on schedule, and that one will feature Mogul Maniac by Amiga. If you have any thoughts on that game, please send it to 2600gamebygame@gmail.com by end of day March 5th.

Yesterday was the 5th anniversary of my very first episode. I've had a lot of highs and lows while doing the podcast, but I still enjoy doing it and I'm glad you all are still with me. I'm looking forward to the next 5 or 10 or 20 years of doing this podcast. Thank you so much for listening!

Hi there, thanks for your patience for this episode on Wall Ball from Avalon Hill. I was finishing the editing on Wednesday morning when Sarah went to work. We thought the front porch was wet, but it was covered with ice. She fell and it was very scary, she was in a lot of pain. I ended up bringing her to the doctor to find out she had bruised her ribs. She is doing better now but the pain sneaks up on her still. Thanks to all of you again for your patience and well wishes.

Extra special thanks to Hoji and Kate Scott, who both helped me with this show by telling me about the programmer, Duncan Scott. Duncan sadly passed away in 2011, but when I contacted Kate she was very gracious and willing to help. She got together with her mom and they both answered the questions I sent. Thank you both so much!

Next up is the prototype for Tempest, by Atari. This is readily available on Flashback systems and also on Atari Age. I would love to hear your feedback on Tempest which you can send to me at 2600gamebygame@gmail.com. Please send it to me by the end of the day February 18th. Thank you so much for listening!

Welcome to episode 148, where I discuss the Sega game and horrible fiery recurring death of Congo Bongo! Poor Congo Bongo, he never had a chance. Next up is Wall Ball by Avalon Hill, which is pretty rare. If you have any feedback on this game, why not send it to me at 2600gamebygame@gmail.com? You'll be glad you did! Happy New Year! Today's episode is about Popeye by Parker Brothers, based on the Nintendo arcade game, which in turn is based on the Popeye cartoons, which in turn again is based on the original comic strip which didn't originally feature Popeye (I know, right?!). Lots of great feedback, thank you all so much! Coming up next is Congo Bongo by Sega. If you have feedback for this game, please get it to me by January 21st. I am trying to turn over a new podcasting leaf, hopefully starting on feedback earlier will help. Thank you all so much for listening!

Alfred E. Neuman once said, "Better late than never. Unless you're going to the dentist!" Oh, how we laughed. This episode is about the extremely elusive Atari Age magazine mailaway game, Quadrun. It is the first home video game to feature speech without having to use an add on unit, like those OTHER systems. It also makes its own gravy! Coming up in January is Popeye by Parker Brothers. If you have any feedback for this game or any I've already covered, please send it to 2600gamebygame@gmail.com and I will read or play it on the show. Also, if you have any Christmas memories you'd like to share for the Christmas episode, please send it in by December 15th. I would love to hear from you! Thank you so much for listening.

So. This episode is about Activision's racing game Enduro, but it is not the only episode about Enduro that I will be doing. I expected a good amount of feedback for this game, and I got an enormous amount instead. Which is absolutely wonderful, I am ecstatic to get so much feedback this far into the podcast. However, it is late and I am tired. Rather than wait to put out the whole show, I am putting out what I have so far, and the rest will go out this weekend. I kept telling Sarah that I was getting a lot of feedback, and she kept telling me to split the show into two parts. Of course I said I didn't want to do that, because I'm dumb. I had almost everything recorded before yesterday, and it still took forever to edit. So, enjoy this first half and I will see you again this weekend. Thanks for listening!

Biddi biddi biddi my friends, here's an episode about the Sega arcade port Buck Rogers, Planet of Zoom! I hope that you enjoy the game and the episode. Next up will be Survival Run by Milton Bradley, which was packaged with its very own controller! Thank you to Strudders for sending me a copy of the game to give away to one lucky listener. If you'd like a shot at winning the game, all you have to do is guess the combined Strudder's Score of Strudders himself and also Mini Strudders. So for example, if Strudders rates it 6 out of 10 and Mini Strudders gives it 5 out of 10, the entrant who comes closest to 11 (over or under, this ain't the Price Is Right) will win the game! In case of a tie, I will use random.org to determine the winner. Please get your entries in to me by June 26th, and if you have any feedback you'd like me to read on that show, please try to have it in by then as well. As always, thank you so much for listening!

I hope to have Pete Rose Baseball for you to listen to next week. I had the extreme privilege to speak with Joe Grand, the creator of this week's game, SCSIside/Ultra SCSIside. Why are there two versions? You'll have to listen to the episode to find out! I would again like to thank Joe for taking the time to talk with me for the podcast, it was a great experience that I hope you will enjoy as much as I did.

There's an announcement at the end of the episode that I really would like your feedback on. You can send it to me at 2600gamebygame@gmail.com. You can also get a jump start on feedback for the next game, which is Atari's Galaxian. As always, thank you all so much for listening and for your support.

My first game episode was episode 2 about Combat. It came out March 3, 2013. I discovered later that I screwed up the sound (I had Audacity experience before doing the podcast, but not with a microphone). Since it's the 4th anniversary of that show (or it was, THANKS AUDACITY), I decided to clean it up the best I could and re-release it as a treat. If you think tortorous first podcasts are a treat. Anyway, thank you for four wonderful years (with many to come) and for my Facebook page reaching 1000 likes. I'm glad you all are here, and I thank you for listening.

Welcome to the first Atari 2600 Game by Game Protocast. This series will focus on prototypes that do not have a part number. This episode features Racer, which was made by Roklan Software for Atari, but it never came out and is not in the part list. I've been wanting to start this for a while, but this episode is due to the fact that I was having trouble getting to the SCSIside research, so that episode will have to wait. Also, I picked this game and started research, but I had trouble getting the game on my Flashback portable. Later I found out that the rom from Atarimania will not work. But I started the research and I wanted to get something out this week, so here it is. My idea was to insert these episodes in between the main episodes; I normally don't get much (if any) feedback on prototypes (especially if you can't play them, I guess), so it wouldn't take long to put the episodes together. Like always, if you have thoughts on these prototypes, I will be happy to read or play it on a subsequent episode. Thank you for listening and for your understanding.

This week I'm covering Glib by Selchow and Righter, the only released adult word game for the Atari 2600! I would like to offer a huge thank you to Mike Montana, the son of Glib programmer Rich Montana, for talking with me on this episode! I apologize for some buzzing during the interview, it did not sound like that during the recording. Mike was extremely nice to me and I'm so glad that he contacted me about Glib, in addition to telling me about his part in the programming. I will also be publishing a write up about Glib that Mike did, with his blessing. Thank you again Mike!

In two weeks I will be covering the homebrew game SCSIside/Ultra SCSIside, by Joe Grand. If you have any thoughts on this game, please send them to me at 2600gamebygame@gmail.com. Thank you so much for listening!

Thanks for your patience for this new episode on Q*Bert by Parker Brothers. Q*Bert is a fantastic arcade game and has a great port on the 2600, as well as many other systems! I hope you enjoy the episode. Next up in 2 weeks will be Glib by Selchow and Wrighter, the only adult word game released for the 2600 (I guess Hangman and Word Zapper are word games, but in my opinion they're skewed toward kids). If you've played Glib and would like to share your thoughts on the game, please send them to me at 2600gamebygame@gmail.com. Thank you so much for listening!

Happy New Year! I was hoping to get this out before 2017, but we had super extenuating circumstances that prevented that from happening. Sarah and I played through all the games that I covered in 2016, some of which I couldn't remember everything about, but that was kind of the point. I have forgotten many of the games I've covered, so going forward I think this will be a yearly tradition of helping me remember. Like I said in the show, listening on an AUDIO podcast to people playing VIDEO games may not be everyone's cup of tea, so you have been warned. All in all it was a fun way to celebrate New Year's Eve! I wish you all health and happiness for 2017, thank you for sticking with me for so long. I will see you very soon!

Hello all, this week I talk almost all about Mr. Do! I recorded it in a fragmented way, so I have forgotten stuff and repeated myself, but it is out a little early, so there's that. One thing I forgot to mention is the game over screen, just a simple screen with Mr. Do and game over on the screen, but I don't think I've seen much of that yet. Matt brought it up in his email but it still flew right by me. Also, the PAL version of the game shows your extra Mr. Do!s as full bodies, instead of just a head in the US version. Curioser and curioser. Despite this I really hope yopu enjoy the show.

If you'd like to send in a Christmas memory, you have until the 17th to do so, and that episode will probably be out on Wednesday. The three days after for me will be eat, sleep, and work, not necessarily in that order. It's usually pretty hectic and I won't have much time for anything those three days. Also, Space Battle will be coming up sometime in January, please watch Facebook and Twitter for that. You can send your feedback to me at 2600gamebygame@gmail.com. Thank you so much for listening!

Happy Gluttonous Shopping Season everyone! Please be sure to visit your local mom and pop stores this season, they'll feel good and you will too. Today I am discussing Keystone Kapers by the one and only Activision! I apologize for the refrigerator this episode, it sounded really loud and distracting on my end, so I hope you don't hear it. Next up on the show will be Mr. Do by Coleco, and I'll also throw in 3 Coleco games that had part numbers but never made it to programming, at least not that we know of. If you have any comments on Mr. Do or any game I've already covered (say, Mousetrap fer instance), please send it to me at 2600gamebygame@gmail.com. Also, if you have any Christmas or holiday memories of really any kind that you'd like to share, I would love to hear them! Please send those to me by December 16th. Thank you for listening everyone!

Egg Nog (makes 1 gallon, cut it down to the quantity you like)

2 quarts half and half
1 dozen eggs (I use large)
1 tablespoon vanilla extract (DON'T USE THE FAKE STUFF, I WILL FIND YOU)
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
2 cups sugar
1 cup rum
1 cup brandy
1 cup bourbon

Beat eggs in a blender until frothy and lemon yellow colored. Add sugar, vanilla, and salt and blend well. Pour into a large container (save your gallon milk jugs!) and add the remaining ingredients. Shake well to combine. PUT THE CAP ON FIRST. Sprinkle some nutmeg in there if you like that. Do NOT sprinkle pumpkin pie spice in there (see vanilla extract). Don't worry about cooking it, all of the alcohol will take care of whatever salmonella is in the eggs. I'm still here, aren't I? Refrigerate unused portion and shake well before you serve it again. Unused portion, that's a good one. Enjoy! :)

This week I discuss one of the two religious games released for the 2600, Music Machine by Sparrow. It's an expensive game but worth your time if you use emulators or Harmony cartridges. Next, uh, time on the show, I will be talking about Crazy Climber by Atari, one of the Atari Age magazine mailaway exclusive games. So yeah, another rare game, I promise I did not plan that! If you have feedback for Crazy Climber, you can send it to me at 2600gamebygame@gmail.com. Please be sure to join me this weekend for Extra Life, and if you can donate, there are plenty of people to choose from in the links! Thanks to all who donated, and I thank you all for listening. Finally, Part 2 of episode 127 is now available, featuring Sword of Saros by Starpath. From now on, each episode will feature one game and hopefully sometime in the future will be released weekly! I'm sure I'm going to regret that. Next time I'll be looking at Music Machine by Sparrow. Afert that, it will be Crazy Climber by Atari; Keystone Kapers by Activision; Mr. Do! by Coleco; Space Attack by M Network; Q8Bert by Parker Brothers; and Glib by Selchow and Wrighter. Any thoughts or comments on these games can be sent to me at 2600gamebygame@gmail.com. Don't forget to check out the forums! Another great idea. Thanks so much for listening!

So yeah, putting both games into this episode didn't work out, so you're only getting Escape From The Mindmaster this time. The next show will contain Sword of Saros and the feedback for both games. After that it will be one game per episode including feedback. Sorry about that. Speaking of feedback, if you have some for either or both of these games, please send it to me at 2600gamebygame@gmail.com. Thanks so much for listening!

This is a special episode featuring Phil from the No Swear Gamer channel on Youtube and the Atari 7800 Game by Game podcast. Phil was nice enough to send me a large audio submission talking about all of the games since his last submission, so I made it into its own episode. Huge thanks to Phil for doing this, please help me say thank you by checking out his stuff. I also explain a little about what is next for this podcast. Thank you all very much for listening, I hope you enjoyed your summer!

Part 2 of episode 126 is all about Krull by Atari. Thanks for your continued patience with me, I wasn't feeling great this week. The next episode will hopefully have 2 games, those being Sword of Saros and Escape From The Mindmaster by Starpath. Like I mentioned in the show, I am shooting to publish this 2 weeks from this past Wednesday, but if it does get delayed, it should be the last time that happens for awhile. Again, thank you for your patience and for listening, it really means a lot to me.

Yes, another split episode. I just wanted to get something out there, this is the best way for me to do that right now. Maybe it's the way I should be doing this, who knows? That was the original plan. At any rate, this episode is all about Battlezone by Atari, and next time I will cover Krull and the feedback for both games. So if you have any thoughts on either game, you still have time to send it to me at 2600gamebygame@gmail.com. Thank you so much for listening!

I am hoping to watch the Krull movie before the episode since it is available on YouTube. If you have any feedback on these games, as always you can send it to me at 2600gamebygame@gmail.com. Hello all, long time no see! Last night I knew that I wouldn't be able to get the whole show done. So instead of waiting until probably next week, I split the episode into 2 parts. Part 1 deals with Summer and Winter Games, and Part 2 will be about California Games and all of the feedback for all three. So you still have until Saturday to get feedback in if you'd like. Thank you as ever for your patience and for listening, I wouldn't be here without you!

Hey everyone, thanks for your patience this week. This episode is about two of Activision's early 1983 titles, Oink and Dolphin. Next on the podcast I will be looking at Lost Luggage and Shark Attack (Lochjaw) by Apollo. If you have any feedback on these or any of the games I've covered, please send it to 2600gamebygame@gmail.com. You can check the calendar on the blogpage for the upcoming shows, I have updated it. A bit. I have some vacation time coming up, and while I don't have an episode listed for those weeks, I am going to try to get something out then. I also have an upcoming project, we are putting in a new floor in my gameroom/podcasting room, but I'm hoping that won't disturb the schedule. Much.

Thanks for listening everyone!

This week I cover two more games in the RealSports line, Tennis and Basketball. Basketball was an unfinished prototype that saw the light of day near the turn of the century. I think there is only one more RealSports title left, Boxing, which oddly came out much later than the rest. Next time I'll be discussing the Activision games Oink! and Dolphin, so if you have any thoughts on these games (or the RealSports games, I expected the feedback to be a bit light and I was not mistaken), please send it to me at 2600gamebygame@gmail.com. Next time I'll be discussing the Atari games Dig Dug and Dukes of Hazzard, and also the un-numbered Stunt Cycle, which was turned into a Dukes of Hazzard game after the fact. Please send any feedback on these or any games I've covered to 2600gamebygame@comcast.net. Thank you all very much!

Hi everyone! I hope that you all are having a stress-free holiday season. I will be as soon as this is posted. :) And by this I mean my episode about Ms. Pac-Man and Centipede for the Atari 2600. I had a lot of fun, and even Mrs. Ferguson joins me for a new unfortunately titled segment! This will also probably be the only appearance of that segment. Thank you all again for your patience while I put this episode together.

On January 13th the games will resume with Seaquest and Spider Fighter, both by Activision. I will be putting a Christmas memories episode together this weekend, so I would need your submissions by December 19th. You can send your Christmas memories, feedback for Seaquest and Spider Fighter, or feedback for any game I've already covered (see Jose's handy list in the links down there) to me at 2600gamebygame@comcast.net. Thank you so much for listening everyone, I really appreciate it!

Hi folks, I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. The next show proper won't be out until the 16th (so he says), but I wanted to give you something to tide you over. Instead, you're getting a show in which I ramble on and on about my collecting habits and where they are headed. I hope you will enjoy it anyway. :)

The next show will of course be about Centipede and Ms. Pac-Man, both by Atari. I am also looking for your Christmas memories, which I will put together and put out the week of Christmas some time. If you'd like to send your feedback or thoughts for either of these shows, please get them in to me by the end of the day on December 13th. That should give me plenty of time to get both shows out on time. You can send it to me at 2600gamebygame@comcast.net. Thank you very much for listening, enjoy your December!

Hello World! Today I check out Name This Game and Towering Inferno by U.S. Games. I also was very fortunate to speak with Ron Dubren, the designer of Name This Game. Big thank you to Ron for taking some time out of his day for me, and you can check him out on the interwebs at the links below.

I forgot to mention in the show that you can still donate to Wade or Rick for the Extra Life charity, up until the end of the year. So if you think you might have missed it, you didn't! Links to donate are below.

So. The next show will NOT be about Glib and Music Machine as I had originally planned. I am going to spend a little more time on the Centipede and Ms. Pac-Man episode, which will be out on December 16th. A Christmas show probably will not happen, but I haven't totally ruled it out. If you have feedback for Centipede or Ms. Pac-Man, or if you have an Atari related Christmas memory, please send them to me at 2600gamebygame@comcast.net no later than end of day on December 13th. Thanks very much for your understanding, and thank you all for listening!

Hi everyone, I am very sorry once again for getting this episode out so late. I knew there was a lot to research on E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial by Atari, but I just didn't realize how MUCH was out there until I started looking. It is now finished and is very long, and I really hope it was worth the wait! It was a lot of fun to go back through all that happened last year, and you guys sent in some GREAT feedback, thank you so much for that.

Next week I'll be discussing two 20th Century Fox games developed by Sirius Software, Fantastic Voyage and Turmoil. I know I said in the show to get your feedback in by November 1st, but at this point by November 3rd end of day will be great. I apologize to Nils and Bill, they did send E.T. feedback in after I recorded but before I finished the show, but I didn't get time to put it in this show. Next one for sure! You can send that feedback to me at 2600gamebygame@comcast.net. Thank you all again very much for your patience, and I will see you next week! Fingers crossed. :)

Hey everyone! Time to check into the hotel room and turn on the... oh, wait a minute. Wrong Spectravision. This episode deals with the other Spectravision's games China Syndrome and The Challenge of Nexar, both of which you'd think would be under the Ch section in a list of Atari 2600 games, but NOOooooooooooo. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the episode. Next time I'll be talking at length I'm sure about the Atari game E.T., by the inimitable Howard Scott Warshaw. Please try to get me your feedback by the end of the day on October 18th, I am really trying hard not to procrastinate. So of course now I'm putting it on you. :D And as always you can send that feedback to 2600gamebygame@comcast.net. Thank you so much for listening!

Today I look at one of the most popular Atari 2600 games (and I can say 2600 because it came out after the rebranding), River Raid! Extra special thanks to Carol Shaw and Ralph Merkle for their help with this episode, and to Willie, ArKay, Captain Bob, and Mike at the Atari 5200 Super Podcast for their help as well, even though I screwed that up slightly (more details in the episode). Please go and check out the Atari 5200 Super Podcast if you don't already listen, and please check out their Facebook page at the link above!

Coming up next week is Bugs and Journey Escape by Data Age. Thanks to Wade's (from Inverse Atascii) suggestion, I now have a calendar to your right (unless you're on a mobile phone, then all bets are off). As long as I remember to keep it updated, you can check there for all the upcoming shows and see when they will be published. If you'd like to send your thoughts on Bugs and/or Journey Escape, or any other game I've covered so far, please send it to 2600gamebygame@comcast.net. Thank you so much for listening!

OH HEY. Today we conclude the Swordquest series talking about Waterworld and Airworld, and the ill-fated Swordquest contest. I thought I would be glad to be done, but it made me sad. But wait, next time I'll be talking about River Raid by carol Shaw, only from Activision! This is a big favorite, so I'm anticipating some feedback. You can send that right over to 2600gamebygame@comcast.net. I'll also be doing some other games later on. I am tired. Procrastination only hurts yourself folks.

HOWDY HOWDY HOWDY. Today I am covering three very good M Network games, Rocky and Bullwinkle, Kool-Aid Man, and Super Challenge Baseball. I had the great privilege of communicating with the developers of the latter two games, Stephen Tatsumi, Jane Terjung, and Ken Smith. My thanks go to them, and also to Paul Nurminen for getting me in touch with Ken Smith. Thank you all!

Next episode I will conclude the Swordquest series with Waterworld and Airworld (which is made of air, HAR HAR). Upcoming games will include River Raid by Activision; Bugs and Journey Escape by Data Age; China Syndrome and Challenge of Nexar by Spectravision; E.T. by Atari; Turmoil and Fantastic Voyage by 20th Century Fox; Name This Game and Towering Inferno by US Games; Music Machine by Sparrow and Glib by Selchow and Wrighter; and Ms. Pac-Man and Centipede by Atari. Well hi! I learned a very important lesson this week. I finished the research for the Xonox games Chuck Norris Superkicks and Artillery Duel on Sunday, way before I usually do. So of course, I have problem after problem while recording and editing, so that means procrastination is always worth it! Also, ambigram. Next time I'l be discussing Rocky and Bullwinkle (not released), Kool Aid Man, and Super Challenge Football, all by M Network. For the rest of this year, I'll be covering the following games: Swordquest Waterworld and Swordquest Airworld (vapourware) by Atari;  River Raid by Activision; Bugs and Journey Escape by Data Age; China Syndrome and Challenge of Nexar by Spectravision; E.T. by Atari; Turmoil and Fantastic Voyage by 20th Century Fox; Name This Game and Towering Inferno by US Games; Music Machine by Sparrow and Glib by Selchow and Wrighter; and Ms. Pac-Man and Centipede by Atari. If you have any thoughts or memories of these games or any I've already covered, please send them along to me at 2600gamebygame@comcast.net. Thank you all so much for listening!

Hi everyone, thank you very much once again for your patience. This episode features Mondo Pong, INV+, and Oystron, all late 90s homebrew games (for the most part). Thank you to INV programmer Erik Mooney for contributing an audio submission detailing his programming work on the game. Next time I'll be discussing Chuck Norris Superkicks and Artillery Duel by Xonox. Upcoming episodes will include the unreleased Rocky and Bullwinkle, Kool-Aid Man, and Super Challenge Football, all by M Network; Swordquest Waterworld and Swordquest Airworld (which is basically what that game is made of) by Atari; River Raid by Activision; Bugs and Journey Escape by Data Age; and China Syndrome and the Challenge of Nexar by Spectravideo. As I stated in the episode I recorded what seems like months ago, the next episode featuring Oystron, INV and Mondo Pong by Piero Cavina will be released on July 15. Upcoming episodes will include Chuck Norris Superkicks and Artillery Duel by Xonox; Rocky and Bullwinkle (unreleased), Kool-Aid Man, and Super Challenge Football by M Network; and Swordquest Waterworld and Swordquest Airworld (vaporware) by Atari. Hi there! Thank you all so much for helping me get to episode 100. In this Intellivisionaries-sized episode, I am celebrating by discussing one of my favorite Atari 2600 games, Pitfall by Activision. Extra giant super special humongous thanks to Willie! from the Colecovisions podcast for surprising me with an interview with the awesome David Crane! Thank you so much Willie, and thanks much also to David Crane for talking with us, it was my honor.

In two weeks I will be discussing Shootin' Gallery and Riddle of the Sphinx by Imagic. I will also endeavor to fix up my list because it needs fixing, so in the next episode I will announce more games that are coming up. If you have any feedback for these games, or any games I've already covered, please send them to me at 2600gamebygame@comcast.net. From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for listening. You all have made this such a wonderful experience and I am excited to cover many more games!

I hope you all had a wonderful Passover/Easter/Spring Break! It's time to get back into the games, and today we're looking at Tax Avoiders (Happy Tax Day too!) by American Videogame and Boing! by First Star Software. Both are the lone releases for the 2600 of their respective companies. Greg from the SNES Podcast is sponsoring a contest on my show! He is giving away a $20 gift certificate to the Atari Age Store. All you have to do is tell me your favorite homebrew Atari 2600 game in order to be entered in the contest. I will draw one winner at random on April 28th at 11:59 PM EST. Send your entries to 2600gamebygame@comcast.net or check Facebook for the pinned post. Thank you Greg!

Next week I'll be looking at Super Cobra and Reactor by Parker Brothers. Coleco had more than its fair share of vaporware for the Atari VCS, and this week I cover one of them (or at least what I can of it). Cosmic Avenger never came out and still has not been found, but Smurf and Carnival did! Also, congratulations to Jose Quezada, he won the Atari Flashback 5 from Willie from the Colecovisions podcast. Thank you to all who entered, and thank you to Willie for sponsoring and coming up with the contest!

Next week I will be covering two Realsports titles, Volleyball and Soccer (or Football if you're nasty). Coming up will be Super Cobra and Reactor by Parker Brothers; Tax Avoiders by American Video Game and Boing! by First Star; and RealSports Football and Atari Video Cube by Atari. If you have any thoughts on any of these games or any I've already covered, please send them to me at 2600gamebygame@comcast.net. Thanks for listening, see you next Wednesday!

Hi, it's me again. Today I am covering the final released text/picture label game on the part list, Brain Games, and the unreleased prototype game Frog Pond. Please check out the episode to find out how to find the clues to Willie's Fergquest contest; once you get all the clues you have to make 4 of them into the phrase that pays. I have extended the contest until March 24th at 11:59 PM EST. If you've already sent in an entry, you can send another one. Next week I'll be covering the Activision games Megamania and Sky Jinks. After that it will be Cosmic Avenger, Smurf: Rescue in Gargamel's Castle, and Carnival by Coleco; RealSports Soccer & Volleyball by Atari; Super Cobra and Reactor by Parker Brothers; Tax Avoiders by American Video Game and Boing! by First Star; and RealSports Football and Atari Video Cube by Atari. Episode 100 will feature a very special game, and I think it will probably be my longest episode to date. I don't want to say yet what it is, because I may start getting feedback now and then I will forget to put it in the show. I will give you ample time to send feedback, don't worry. If you have any thoughts on any of these games or any I've already covered, please send them to me at 2600gamebygame@comcast.net. Thanks for listening, see you next Wednesday!

Hi, welcome back from my vacation! Today's games are Fast Food and Ram It by Telesys. Also, today is the final batch of clues for Willie's FergQuest contest, where he is giving away a Flashback 5. You have to figure out the 4 word phrase that pays and send it to me in an email by March 17 11:59 PM EST. In case of a tie I will use random.org to determine the winner. If I don't get any correct answers by the next show, I will give you a clue. Good luck!

Next week I'll be looking at Brain Games and the prototype game Frog Pond, both by Atari. Coming up I'll be talking about Megamania and Sky Jinks by Activision; Cosmic Avenger, Smurf: Rescue in Gargamel's Castle, and Carnival by Coleco; Realsports Volleyball and Realsports Soccer by Atari; and Super Cobra and Reactor by Parker Brothers.
